1996-01-27 Bernard Hopkins w rsc 1 Steve Frank, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix, Arizona, USA - IBF. Referee: Bobby Ferrera. Making his first defence, Hopkins (159) barely raised a sweat when beating a man with a record of seven fights in the last seven years and 18 contests in all. The fight had only been underway for a few moments when Hopkins opened Frank (160) up with two solid blows before flattening him with a blasting right to the jaw. How Frank got up at ‘nine’ was amazing, but after the referee had taken a good look at the stricken fighter he stopped the fight with just 24 seconds on the clock.
