1996-02-10 [[Felix Trinidad]] w rtd 4 [[Rodney Moore]], MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Mitch Halpern. Having lost in two previous challenges and past his best, Moore (147) was given a crack at Trinidad (147) and even in the opening session he was firing in wild rights while hoping to hit the target. There was more of the same in the second before Trinidad started to break Moore up with body punches in the third as the latter tried desperately to survive. Dropped from a series of blows in the fourth, Moore got up at ‘nine’ before he was hit very close to the border on a couple of occasions and being put down again for ‘nine’ by a cracking left uppercut to the temple. It came as no surprise when the corner retired Moore during the interval between the fourth and fifth rounds.
