1996-02-17 Henry Maske w pts 12 Duran Williams, Westphalia Hall, Dortmund, Germany - IBF. Referee: Pete Podgorski. Scorecards: 117-110, 118-110, 117-111. Showing plenty of aggression, Williams (174) made Maske (174½) work hard for his points win, especially in the second round when he shook the southpaw champion up with big rights to the head and body. After getting going in the third, Maske assumed complete control up to the eighth, his jabs and hooks being very effective, and it was only in the ninth that Williams got through with some good shots. Cut under the right eye, the computer statistics showed Maske landing 359 punches to his rival’s 261.
