1996-03-03 Daniel Zaragoza w rsc 11 Joichiro Tatsuyoshi, The Arena, Yokohama, Japan - WBC. Referee: Tony Perez. The challenger gave it everything he had, but ultimately it proved too much for him as Zaragoza (122) dominated with southpaw jabs and solid right hooks to cut him badly over both eyes, the left in the fourth and the right in the eighth. Still not giving up, Tatsuyoshi (122) attempted to crowd Zaragoza, only to run into punches that filtered through his poor defence. Eventually, having examined Tatsuyoshi’s injuries from the eighth round onwards the referee was forced to call a halt at 2.47 of the 11th after consulting the doctor.
