1996-03-16 Naseem Hamed w rsc 1 Said Lawal, Scottish Exhibition Centre, Glasgow, Scotland - WBO. Referee: Ismael Fernandez. Making his first defence, Hamed (125¾) scored one of the quickest world title finishes of all time when demolishing Lawal (125) inside 35 seconds, courtesy of three right-hand uppercuts. The first one put Lawal down for ‘seven’, the second sent him flying across the ring, and the third put him down again to be rescued by the referee without the count being administered.
