1996-05-25 [[Henry Maske]] w pts 12 [[John Scully]], New Fair Hall, Leipzig, Germany - IBF. Referee: Stan Christodoulou. Scorecards: 119-109, 120-108, 120-108. After being posed a few problems by Scully (174¼) in the opening two rounds, the southpaw champion got his act together by the third to outbox his man from thereon. Scully was soon cut and swollen over the right eye as Maske (174¾) used his height and reach to good advantage and although the American connected with the occasional right no damage was done. Showing much spirit, despite being picked off throughout, Scully was warmly applauded at the final bell.
