1996-06-15 Roy Jones w rsc 11 Eric Lucas, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Jacksonville, Florida, USA - IBF. Referee: Brian Garry. Winning every round in a canter, the champion, hands held low, battered away at Lucas (165¾) without hardly ever taking a blow in return. Showing remarkable durability, Lucas withstood the hammering and even when he was sent to the floor in the tenth it was ruled a slip. Desperately trying to put Lucas away, whatever Jones (166) produced was met by solid resistance from the French-Canadian and it was only when the bad cut over his right eye worsened that he was pulled out by his corner after the 11th.
