1996-08-16 [[Frankie Randall]] w pts 12 [[Juan Martin Coggi]], German Society Gym, Villa Ballester, Buenos Aires, Argentina - WBA. Referee: John Coyle. Scorecards: 115-112, 117-111, 114-113. In the third meeting between the pair, Randall (140) regained the title he had lost to the awkward southpaw, Coggi (140), having survived a clash of heads in the opening round. This time he left nothing to chance, dropping Coggi with a long right in the second and hurting him badly in the eighth and 11th sessions. Deducted a point in the fifth for low blows, the game Coggi gave it his best shot but Randall was the quicker of the pair and dominated much of the latter stages despite being fatigued.
