1996-08-24 Danny Romero w co 2 Harold Grey, University of New Mexico Arena, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - IBF. Referee: Larry Chavez. Making the first defence of his second reign, Grey (115) was simply overwhelmed by the ferocity of the challenger’s attack, being smashed to the canvas three times during the opening session and barely making it back to his corner. Romero (114¾) was quickly out in the second round and after a couple of body shots he countered Grey’s left jab with an overhand right, which sent the latter down to be counted out on the 1.25 mark.
