1996-08-31 Tom Johnson w pts 12 Ramon Guzman, Point Depot, Dublin, Ireland - IBF. Referee: Sam Williams. Scorecards: 119-107, 118-107, 118-109. Forced to go the distance, Johnson (126) put Guzman (125ΒΌ) down twice in the third round, again in the seventh and ninth, and staggered him throughout the 12th before the final bell brought matters to a halt. Punching well to head and body, Johnson appeared to be on the verge of a stoppage several times, but having damaged his right hand early on he had to satisfy himself with a points win.
