1996-09-06 Regilio Tuur w co 1 Jose Vida Ramos, Bally’s Park Place Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - WBO. Referee: Benji Esteves. With both men starting with the jab and looking to work their way into the fight, that all changed when Tuur (130) suddenly exploded with a left-right to the challenger’s jaw, sending him crashing on all fours. Crawling across the canvas, Ramos (130) almost got to his feet but fell down again as the referee completed the count at 1.47 of first.

Following Tuur’s decision to retire in January 1997, Julien Lorcy and Arnulfo Castillo were matched for the vacant WBO title.
