1996-09-07 Mike Tyson w rsc 1 Bruce Seldon, MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBA. Referee: Richard Steele. Starting fast, Tyson (219) stayed on the front foot as Seldon (229) retreated and after missing with several power-laden shots he had the champion over from a blow that barely landed. The referee initially was ruling it a slip but was forced to start the count when Seldon stayed down. Up again after taking the mandatory ‘eight’, Seldon was immediately sent down again from a left hook to the jaw and although it seemed he would make it to his feet without too much difficulty the fight was stopped on the 1.49 mark when he fell back into the ropes.
