1996-09-28 Ratanapol Sor Vorapin w co 5 Oscar Andrade, Provincial Stadium, Prajuabirikhan, Thailand - IBF. Referee: Boonruang Thakamfoo. The champion began to take control from the third round, using his reach advantage, before landing a good body shot which floored Andrade (104½) and forced a mandatory ‘eight’. Following that, after Sor Vorapin (104½) went low the Mexican was given time out to recover prior to taking another ‘eight’ count. The fifth saw Sorvoraphin going all out for the stoppage, and having taken a terrific left hand to the solar plexus Andrade went down, grimacing in pain, to be counted out just 15 seconds into the session.
