1996-09-28 Ratanapol Sorvoraphin w co 5 Oscar Andrade, Provincial Stadium, Prajuabirikhan, Thailand - IBF. Referee: Boonruang Thakamfoo. The champion began to take control from the third round, using his reach advantage, and landed a good body shot which floored Andrade (104½) and forced a mandatory ‘eight’. Following that, Sorvoraphin (104½) went low and the Mexican was given time out to recover before being forced to take another ‘eight’ count. The fifth saw Sorvoraphin going all out for the stoppage and having taken a terrific left hand to the solar plexus Andrade went down, grimacing in pain, to be counted out just 15 seconds into the session.
