Making a quick start, Sorjaturong (106¾) soon got the measure of his challenger, Galvez (107½), and hit him with a whole range of punches before despatching him in the second round. There appeared to be nowhere to hide, and with Galvez backed against the ropes a short left hook sent him crashing to the canvas where he was counted out on the 1.58 mark.
