1996-11-09 [[Antonio Cermeno]] w rtd 5 [[Eddy Saenz]], MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBA. Referee: Joe Cortez. Quickly asserting himself, Cermeno (121) dropped his challenger early in the first round with a heavy right and was on top from then on. Although Saenz (122) was game and willing enough he was being outclassed and began to unravel in the fourth before taking a real hiding in the fifth, following which he was retired on his stool during the interval.
