1996-11-16 Artur Grigorian w pts 12 Marty Jakubowski, Wandsbek Sports Hall, Hamburg, Germany - WBO. Referee: Harold Gomes. Scorecards: 120-106, 119-109, 119-109. Having his second crack at the title inside 18 months, Jakubowski (134) gave it everything he had to make it competitive but was unable to make a real dent in the champions armour and went down on all three judges’ cards in every round bar the third. Even then, two of the judges went for Grigorian (134¾). The smart southpaw champion, who was making his second defence, had too much skill for the game Jakubowski and never looked in any difficulty.
