After making a lively start, the second round saw Sor Vorapin (104) pressure his challenger with ferocious attacks to head and body. The third session saw the beginning of the end as the lanky Doria (103½) was badly shaken up by a vicious left cross and dropped by a short left hook for ‘eight’. In the fourth Doria was again floored by heavy left for ‘eight’ before another left, this time to the body, put him down again and brought about a stoppage on the 2.04 mark.
