1997-04-29 Yokthai Sithoar drew 12 Satoshi Iida, Aichi Prefectural Gym, Nagoya, Japan - WBA. Referee: Armando Garcia. Scorecards: 114-114, 115-115, 113-116. Although Sithoar (114½) was the aggressor up until the eighth session he had been wild in his delivery, and there was no doubt that had the fleet-footed Iida (115) been an effective counter-puncher things might have been different. However, with the champion tiring the southpaw challenger certainly had the better of the remaining rounds despite suffering a cut on his left eye. It was desperately close at the final bell.
