Returning to the land of his parents, the champion defeated Jakubowski (139) when gradually wearing his man down and taking all completed six rounds on the cards before applying the finishing touches. Deciding to up the pace further in the seventh, Rahilou (139¼) soon had Jakubowski on one knee and following two more visits to the canvas by the latter in the same session the referee was forced to call a halt on the three-knockdown ruling, with just 20 seconds of the round remaining.
