Contesting the vacant title following [[Mauricio Pastrana]]’s unavailability, neither Roga (107) nor Herrera (107) was able to take advantage of the situation in what turned out to be an even match-up. There was never much between them and following an accidental clash of heads in round nine, when both men were badly cut, the fight was halted on the 1.50 mark and went to the cards.
