1998-01-31 Bernard Hopkins w co 6 Simon Brown, Trump Taj Mahal Casino & Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - IBF. Referee: Rudy Battle. Having won the opening five rounds on all the cards, the champion was looking to take Brown (160) out in the sixth. Prior to then Brown had avoided many of the wallops coming his way, but he could not avoid a tremendous right uppercut that sent him heavily to the boards. It was a miracle that Brown managed to get back on his feet in time and when he did Hopkins (160) began whacking in punch after punch, mainly to the head, before the referee stopped the fight after 60 seconds of the session had elapsed.
