1998-03-08 [[Saman Sorjaturong]] w rsc 4 [[Shiro Yahiro]], The Arena, Yokohama, Japan - WBC. Referee: Lou Halpern. Far too strong for the challenger, Sorjaturong (106¾) walked through the jab to get his punches off and by the end of the third session the light-punching Yahiro (107¼) was looking decidedly harassed, having been knocked over immediately prior to the bell. Wasting no time in the fourth Sorjaturong floored Yahiro twice, and when the latter attempted to get up from the second knockdown he fell backwards, whereupon the fight was stopped with 40 seconds of the round left.
