1998-03-13 [[Roberto Garcia]] w pts 12 [[Harold Warren]], Miccosukee Indian Gaming Casino, Miami, Florida, USA - IBF. Referee: Jorge Alonso. Scorecards: 116-112, 116-112, 119-109. Fighting to decide a new champion, Arturo Gatti having moved on, Garcia (130) proved to be too young and too fast for the 37-year-old Warren (130), despite having been out of the ring for nine months. It was hardly a fight to get excited about and did not even get going until the fifth, but when it did the switch-hitting Garcia was in control most of the way before opening up in the latter rounds with thudding rights which forced his stocky southpaw rival to go on the retreat. The judge who had Warren winning just one round was way off beam while the other two cards were about right.
