1998-03-14 Artur Grigorian w rsc 6 Marco Rudolph, Wandsbek Sports Hall, Hamburg, Germany - WBO. Referee: Bill Connors. Outclassed from the opening bell, Rudolph (135) bravely kept going through the blows coming his way before being dropped by solid southpaw rights and lefts in the fifth. After taking the ‘eight’ count he stayed out of trouble for the remainder of the session, only to be hurt again in the sixth when a barrage of blows followed by an accidental head clash left him draped over the ropes. At that point, with 1.50 on the clock, the referee had seen enough and stopped the contest to allow Rudolph immediate treatment, leaving Grigorian (134½) the winner.
