1998-08-22 Charles Brewer w rsc 3 Antoine Byrd, Stadium Hall, Leipzig, Germany - IBF. Referee: Denny Nelson. In what was an all-action affair, Brewer (167¾) took the fight to his southpaw challenger from the opening bell and almost paid for his over-confident approach when he was badly hurt by a big right hook to the head in the second round. Still taking risks, Brewer eventually found a cracking left uppercut in the third and after Byrd (167¾) had been down twice the referee called the fight off at 1.11 of the session.
