1998-11-30 Laurent Boudouani w rsc 9 Terry Norris, Port of Versailles Sports Palace, Paris, France - WBA. Referee: Waldemar Schmidt. Forced to take off three pounds excess at the weigh-in, Norris (154) was not only weakened but he was a shadow of the top fighter he once was and won, at best, two rounds before being stopped at 2.59 of the ninth. By the fourth, Boudouani (153½) was already on top and staggered Norris with several punches, most notably the left hook, before letting his man off the hook. Although the challenger came back reasonably well in the fifth he was taking a hiding from thereon and by the ninth Boudouani was landing almost at will with the right hand. It was only when Norris retreated to the ropes and was coming apart at the seams did his father throw in the towel, while that action was followed by an immediate response from the referee.
