1998-11-30 Laurent Boudouani w rsc 9 Terry Norris, Port of Versailles Sports Palace, Paris, France - WBA. Referee: Waldemar Schmidt. Forced to take off three pounds excess at the weigh-in, Norris (154) was not only weakened but he was a shadow of the top fighter he once was, winning at best just two rounds before being stopped at 2.59 of the ninth. By the fourth Boudouani (153½) was already on top, having staggered Norris with several punches, most notably the left hook. Although the challenger came back reasonably well in the fifth he was taking a hiding from there onwards, and by the ninth Boudouani was landing almost at will with the right hand. It was only when Norris retreated to the ropes and was coming apart at the seams did his father throw in the towel, an action that was followed by an immediate response from the referee.
