1998-12-12 Dariusz Michalczewski w rsc 9 Drake Thadzi, Ball Sports Hall, Frankfurt, Germany - WBO. Referee: Lou Moret. Having taken several rounds to warm up after being hurt in the second by the tough Thadzi (174), the champion eventually got himself going in the fourth. Picking up the pace and timing his punches better, Michalczewski (175) began driving Thadzi back with uppercuts and solid jabs and at 1.45 of the ninth the referee rescued the latter after a cracking right to the head sent him staggering towards his corner.
