1999-02-13 Erik Morales w rsc 2 Angel Chacon, Thomas & Mack Centre, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBC. Referee: Richard Steele. Although Morales (121½) started cautiously, biding his time and looking for openings while the challenger sauntered around throwing out light left jabs, the end was not long in coming. With the second round underway, Morales made his move. Throwing fast combinations and backing Chacon (122) into a corner, Morales followed up a heavy right uppercut with a left-right to the jaw which sent the Puerto Rican down to be rescued by the referee on the 1.50 mark.
