1999-04-03 Marco Antonio Barrera w rtd 1 Paul Lloyd, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London, England - WBO. Referee: Samuel Viruet. Taking part in his 50th fight, Barrera (121) destroyed his challenger in just one round, Lloyd (122) retiring on his stool during the interval after being cut over and under the right eye. That was the official reason for his retirement, but with his punches having no effect on Barrera and after being dropped for ‘nine’ following a terrific body shot Lloyd had been battered almost to a standstill in just three minutes in what was a very one-sided affair.
