1999-08-28 Dariusz Michalczewski w rsc 4 Montell Griffin, Stadium Hall, Bremen, Germany - WBO. Referee: Joe Cortez. It was virtually all Griffin (175) in the opening three rounds as moved in on the champion from the start, whacking in lefts and rights to head and body, and generally controlling the pace of the fight. It was only in the fourth that Michalczewski (175) found his feet and with Griffin tiring from his exertions he was forced to take several heavy punches without return. With just one second of the session remaining the fight was over after Griffin, cut over the right eye and in a sorry state, was rescued by the referee.
