1999-09-05 In-Joo Cho w pts 12 Keiji Yamaguchi, Ryogoku Sumo Arena, Tokyo, Japan - WBC. Referee: Laurence Cole. Scorecards: 114-110, 117-107, 117-108. Controlling the fight from the first to last bell, the improving Cho (115), despite being cut on the left eye in the third, boxed his way to a wide decision over Yamaguchi (115), who lacked the ability to find a way inside his guard other than in the ninth. The upright champion impressed with his extended left which nullified the southpaw leads of Yamaguchi and he put the seal on a good performance when flooring his man twice in the last session, initially from a left hook and then a left-right combination.
