Defending for the first time, Freitas (130), who had obviously decided that he was not going to hang around, jumped on the late substitute right from the opening bell. Dropped in the first, Martinez (130) was soon under pressure in the second before the referee rescued him at 1.20 after he had taken two further counts and was in no position to defend himself.
