1999-12-11 Vitali Klitschko w rtd 9 Obed Sullivan, Alsterdorf Sports Hall, Hamburg, Germany - WBO. Referee: Joe Cortez. Retaining his title for the second time, Klitschko (244¾) dominated the punch stats when it was revealed that Sullivan (227¾) landed only 11 of the 283 thrown. Klitschko, who had never gone beyond six rounds before, found Sullivan an easy target and stabbing left leads followed by crashing rights took a lot out of the latter. However, Sullivan, with his right eye closed, made it into the seventh and boxed on for three more rounds before being retired by his corner at the end of the ninth.
