2000-01-15 [[Roy Jones]] w pts 12 [[David Telesco]], Radio City Music Hall, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA - IBF/WBA/WBC. Referee: Arthur Mercante (Snr). Scorecards: 120-108, 120-108, 120-106. While not winning a round on the cards and being on the receiving end throughout, the challenger made it to the final bell mainly due to the fact that Jones (175) had hurt his left hand prior to the fight and was forced to use it sparingly. That did not stop Jones from using his right, however, and Telesco (175) was forced to show how tough he was when taking many heavy shots to the head without ever looking likely to go down. Telesco finished the fight with damage to both eyes, but for Jones it was little more than a sparring session.
