2000-04-08 Fabrice Tiozzo w rsc 6 Valeriy Vykhor, Bercy Sports Palace, Paris, France - WBA. Referee: John Coyle. After a cracking countering right to the jaw had dropped Vykhor (188½) half a minute into the first it appeared that the referee might call a halt, but he let it continue when the champion failed to follow up. Boxing patiently, Tiozzo (189½) kept the jab going before working from head to body and in the third Vykhor was cut on the right eye as heads came together. Fighting in flurries, Vykhor was strong but had little with which to bother Tiozzo and at 1.45 of the sixth the fight was called off by the referee after the Ukranian, who had been floored by a mixture of right uppercuts to the head and body shots, was in no position to defend himself on getting to his feet.
