2000-04-08 Fabrice Tiozzo w rsc 6 Valeriy Vykhor, Bercy Sports Palace, Paris, France - WBA. Referee: John Coyle. After a cracking countering right to the jaw had dropped Vykhor (188½) half a minute into the first it appeared that the referee might call a halt, but he let it continue when the champion failed to follow up. Boxing patiently Tiozzo (189½) kept the jab going before working from head to body, which led to Vykhor being cut on the right eye as heads came together in the third. Although Vykhor was strong he was unable to bother Tiozzo, and at 1.45 of the sixth the fight was called off by the referee when the Ukranian, who had been floored by a mixture of right uppercuts to the head and body shots, was in no position to defend himself on getting to his feet.
