Bringing very little to the argument and having lost three of his last seven fights, Sor Vorapin (107½) proved an easy mark for Lopez (107½) and was rescued by the referee at 2.11 of the third round. Following a left to the body, Lopez, who equalled Rocky Marciano’s record of 49 wins without loss on the result, let go a whole range of blows and the Thai was not fighting back on the intervention.
