2002-01-19 Rosendo Alvarez w rsc 12 Pichit Chor Siriwat, Jai-Alai Fronton, Miami, Fl, USA - WBA. Referee: Armando Garcia. As the challenger’s punch power decreased, Alvarez (108) merely stepped up the pressure, the accuracy of his punches beginning to tell in the middle rounds when all Chor Siriwat (108) had left was his huge heart. However, it was not enough and the Thai hit the deck in the eighth following a salvo of punches before somehow managing to get through to the 12th where he was jumped on. Following a battery of blows Chor Siriwat was eventually floored in his own corner by a heavy right-left-right combination, and although getting up he was under severe pressure when rescued by the referee on the 2.10 mark.
