2002-03-23 Masamori Tokuyama w rsc 9 Kazuhiro Ryuko, The Arena, Yokohama, Japan - WBC. Referee: Kazumasa Kuwata. Walking through the rounds, Tokuyama (115) was a scintillating winner over the southpaw challenger, who was thought to be a danger but ultimately posed no real threat. Having had his nose broken in the second round, and on the receiving end of some fairly hefty punches, Ryuko (115) went all out in the ninth before a heavy right-hand counter sent him crashing to the canvas. Realising that Ryuko was through for the night, the referee called the contest off with 18 seconds of the session remaining.
