Retaining the title for the fifth time, the taller Tokuyama (114¾) made such good use of the left uppercut that Lopez (115), unable to get into range due to the champion’s ability to keep on the outside, was pulled out of the fight by the referee at the end of the sixth when his right eye was completely closed.
