2003-07-12 [[Zab Judah]] w pts 12 [[DeMarcus Corley]], Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBO. Referee: Joe Cortez. Scorecards: 115-112, 112-115, 115-112. Challenging for the title, in a battle between southpaws, by the third round Judah (140) was already proving to be too skilful and too quick and towards the end of the session two left crosses had the champion down. However, Judah failed to sustain the pressure and although always in command of the situation it was close enough for the judges to disagree on many of the rounds. With Judah failing to sustain his attacks Corley (139½) was never out of it, but he never took advantage of the opportunities when presented to him and while he had a good tenth round he didn’t build on it. Although the scores were much closer than anticipated, how one judge had Corley winning 115-112 was just amazing.
