2005-04-30 Ivan Calderon w rsc 8 Noel Tunacao, Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico - WBO. Referee: Roberto Ramirez. Firing on both cylinders from the opening bell, Calderon (105) immediately got down to business to batter Tunacao (105) from pillar to post, so much so that before too long the challenger was wandering and stumbling around the ring. The taller Calderon never let up and boxing with great precision, throwing blistering combinations from every conceivable angle, by the fifth round it looked as though Tunacao was done for. Although the Filipino gamely stuck to his task he continued to soak up punishment before being rescued by the referee at 2.25 of the eighth after being cornered and hammered non-stop without reply.
