2005-06-17 Leavander Johnson w rsc 7 Stefano Zoff, Sports Palace, Milan, Italy - IBF. Referee: Sam Williams. Contesting the title vacated by Julio Diaz, Johnson (134¼) finally became a champion when stopping Zoff (134¼) at 1.15 of the seventh round after the latter had been dropped by a combination of rights and lefts and was judged to be in no position to carry on. Prior to the finish, the veteran Italian had done reasonably well, trading hooks and uppercuts with Johnson, who got through with some solid right hands and was reckoned to be ahead by a couple of rounds.
