2005-08-24 [[Vic Darchinyan]] w rsc 5 [[Jair Jimenez]], Entertainment Centre, Sydney, Australia - IBF. Referee: John Wright. The champion was in complete control right from the opening bell against Jimenez (111½), a man who had lost his previous two contests, sending in hurtful punches to head and body before dropping his rival in the fourth round with a heavy left cross. Although Jimenez got to his feet he barely made it to the bell, and after being badly staggered again by Darchinyan (112) in the fifth the referee had seen enough, pulling the former out at 2.23 of the session.
