Making his first defence of the WBO ‘interim’ title on 24 July, Jhonriel Casimero was outpointed by Ramon Garcia Hirales over 12 rounds at the Centennial Sports Centre, Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Before handing the belt in, Garcia Hirales successfully defended the title when outpointing Manuel Vargas over 12 rounds at The Forum, Tijuana, Mexico on 25 September.
