Popular verdict - a win for Tate (World Almanac). The Philadelphia Record also has it as a win for Tate. The supposed 8-round fight between Tate and Langford, previously listed here as occurring in Mexico City, probably refers to this fight. Certainly Langford and Tate would never have been scheduled for just 8 rounds in Mexico City.
