The fight lasted only 70 seconds. Mantell was soon bleeding from mouth and nose and then "a stiff uppercut sent (him) to the floor..He rose..(and caught)..a left to the stomach and a right to the jaw, and went down and out." (Source: Pittsburgh Post.)....So far as known, Greb's opponent was the well known Frank Mantell who had been in the ring since 1905, and who was fighting in the general area in 1917. There was another middleweight named Frank Mantell, however, who was active in 1917.
