Coliseum, Chicago, Illinois, USALKO310
referee: Tommy Gilmore
There was little action in the first round. Massera got in some solid punches early in the second, but Louis came back strongly to take the round. In the third, a right staggered Charley and Louis followed up with a terrific left hook to the jaw and a smashing right and Massera fell halfway out of the ring. He was counted out while draped over the middle rope. (From the Chicago Tribune, Bob Soderman.)
